She decided to keep abreast with the developing world. She enrolled for a course in Computer applications and quickly followed it with M.Sc. (Information Technology), M.Phil (Computer Sciences), M.B.A. (Major-IT, Minor- Human Resource).
What started as a dream with one computer and one room is now a sprawling institute with dedicated computer labs with seventy computers. The institute has trained more than eight thousand students, with more than 70 percent girl students.
She realised early in her career that that the tribal children of Korba needed more help than the others. They had the passion but the lack of opportunities was a hindrance to their growth. So she decided to extend a helping hand.
About Sadhana X Close
There were no laptops so she did the next best thing. She hired a PC which she would bring to the school every day on a rickshaw, install in one school, teach, and then take to the other school only to install again and teach the other group.
In the small town of Korba Chattisgarh she soon became a familiar sight lugging the machine on a rickshaw.
?The job was only contractual and soon ended but it taught her many things.
The foremost was her own passion for computers and the insatiable thirst for knowledge of her students. She decided to build on these. Thus was born the Computer Centre. It started in a rented one room accommodation and on a computer purchased on a loan of Rs 60,000. This was a huge amount then but by this time her family was convinced of her passion and knew that obstacles will only make her more determined to succeed.
multi-task.
