SSgt. Bailey Behzadi, Devoted Airman and Family Man, Passes Away in Tragic Car Accident at Joint Base Andrews

Joint Base Andrews, Maryland – SSgt. Bailey Behzadi, a dedicated member of the 316th Security Forces Squadron, tragically passed away in a car accident over the weekend of September 23, 2024.

His untimely death has left the military community in mourning, with many reflecting on his service and the legacy he leaves behind.

SSgt. Behzadi, who served as a Base Defense Operations Center Controller, was preparing to transition to the Office of Special Investigations at the time of his passing.

He was widely respected for his commitment, positive attitude, and devotion to his duties.

In addition to being an outstanding airman, Behzadi was a loving family man, survived by his wife and daughter, both of whom are receiving an outpouring of support from the military community.

Joint Base Andrews expressed deep sorrow in a public statement, saying, "We are deeply saddened by the passing of SSgt. Bailey Behzadi.

His loss will be profoundly felt across our community and the wider Air Force family."

Community members have also shared their condolences, with Sharon Ileina writing, "Our condolences to his family.

I pray that the Air Force continues to provide support and assistance to his spouse," and Nancy Lansing adding, "RIP SSGT – fair winds and following seas."

SSgt. Behzadi’s passing is a tragic loss for both his family and the wider military community, and his memory will continue to be honored by those who served alongside him.
