East York, Ontario – Samantha Christine Beattie, a beloved mother and valued member of the East York community, was tragically murdered on September 21, 2024.
Her untimely death has left her family, friends, and the entire community in deep mourning.
Samantha, who was a devoted mother to four children—Thea, Selene, Anastasia, and Artemis—was described as a kind and loving presence in the lives of those who knew her.
The shocking news of her murder was shared on social media, where a post stated, "Sam was murdered on Sunday by a very ugly man."
Samantha’s siblings, Allison, Pam, and Doug, are among those mourning the loss of their beloved sister.
A visitation to honor Samantha’s life was held on September 28, 2024, at Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home in Newmarket, Ontario, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Her funeral service took place the next day, September 29, 2024, at 10:00 AM, followed by a reception to remember and celebrate her life.
