Port Townsend Resident David Hon Passes Away from Cardiac Arrest, Fundraiser Launched to Support His Legacy

Port Townsend, Washington – David Hon, a long-time resident of Port Townsend, tragically passed away on July 16, 2024, due to a massive cardiac arrest. Hon, who was married to Louise Mitchell for 34 years, leaves behind a grieving family. His passing has left a significant emotional and financial void for his wife, who is now seeking help to honor his memory.

Louise Mitchell, who has recently been diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer, is struggling to cover the costs of a memorial service for her late husband. To help alleviate the financial burden, she has organized a fundraiser with a goal of raising $9,000. As of today, the campaign has just begun, and no donations have been made yet.

In her heartfelt appeal, Louise shared the difficulties she has faced since losing her husband and asked for support, stating, “Anything helps, and if you cannot help out, your prayers are just as good.”

The fundraiser, organized on GoFundMe, aims to support Louise during this difficult time and allow her to properly honor David’s legacy. Those who wish to contribute can donate through the GoFundMe page, where Louise is hoping to receive donations or prayers from the community.

David Hon’s sudden passing has touched the hearts of many, and the community is expected to rally around Louise as she navigates these challenging times.
