Lee’s Summit, Missouri – Kevin Wilson, a beloved resident of Lee’s Summit, tragically passed away following a head-on collision on Highway 50 on the night of September 20, 2024. The accident, which occurred around 10:53 p.m., has left the community in shock and mourning.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash involved 45-year-old Peter Goss of Mission Hills, Kansas, who was driving westbound in the eastbound lanes of the highway. His vehicle collided head-on with a Subaru Legacy driven by Kevin Wilson, 65. Despite efforts to save him, Kevin was pronounced dead shortly after midnight due to the severity of his injuries.
Peter Goss sustained serious injuries and was transported to a Kansas City hospital, where he remains in critical condition. The circumstances that led to Peter driving in the wrong direction are still under investigation, leaving many questions unanswered for Kevin’s grieving family and friends.
