Kansas City Resident Teresa Mae Slape Passes Away at Age 59 After Health Battle

Kansas City, Missouri – Teresa Mae Slape, a beloved resident of Kansas City, passed away at the age of 59. Teresa, who was known for her selflessness, compassion, and unwavering faith, tragically passed away following a prolonged health struggle.

Over the past few years, her health had significantly declined, and she faced numerous challenges. This included losing her job and eventually having to sell her dream home, as she could no longer safely live there alone. Teresa had been bedridden since May 11, 2024, following two massive strokes. Despite these hardships, she remained deeply loved by her family and community.

Teresa is remembered as a loving mother of three sons. Her kindness extended far beyond her immediate family, as she was known to help many in need. Words used to describe her include caring, compassionate, and sensitive.

Her passing was deeply mourned on social media. The page “Obituaries in Kansas City – Missouri” posted a heartfelt message: “With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Teresa Mae Slape (59 Years old). Viewing will be on September 26. Stephen Logan, a close friend, organized a fundraiser to help cover her end-of-life expenses. The campaign, launched on September 19, 2024, raised $1,350, exceeding its $1,300 goal. Donations included contributions from anonymous donors, one of whom gave $300, and Charity Arnold, who made the first donation of $100.

Teresa’s memory will live on through those who were touched by her kindness. She is now at peace, reunited with her parents and her Lord. Her family and friends will gather on September 26 to honor her life and legacy.
