Jeremy Long, 25, Dies in Motorcycle Accident in Cherokee County, Georgia, Leaving the Community in Mourning

Ellijay, Georgia – Jeremy Long, a 25-year-old resident of Ellijay, tragically passed away on the evening of October 3, 2024, following a motorcycle accident in Cherokee County.

The fatal incident occurred at approximately 9 p.m. on Rose Creek Drive near Woodstock, where Long’s motorcycle reportedly crossed the center line, struck a curb, and collided with a tree.

He was immediately rushed to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries shortly after.

Authorities from the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office have identified speed as a potential contributing factor in the accident, as noted by Captain Jay Baker.

The community has been left in shock, with tributes pouring in from friends and family on social media.
