Blantyre, South Lanarkshire – George Fernie, a beloved resident of Blantyre, South Lanarkshire, tragically passed away on September 27, 2024, following complications from a short illness.
His passing has left the community, family, and friends mourning the loss of a kind and devoted man.
His daughter, Veronica Jessop, shared the sad news on social media, expressing her heartbreak at losing her father.
She wrote, “I am proud to have called him my father and in shock at his death, however, I hope he has reunited with my late mother Catherine Fernie (nee Hutchison).”
The family has extended their gratitude to the staff at QA Hospital for their care and support during this difficult time.
