Derrick McFarland graduated from Brunswick High School in 2004 and went on to work in the construction industry for several years.
He was passionate about spending time with family, working out, reading, and creating music, pursuits that brought joy and connection to those who knew him best.
His sister, Jasmine Brown, has started a GoFundMe campaign to help cover funeral expenses, as the family did not have life insurance to manage these costs.
Jasmine shared that they are seeking to give Derrick the memorial he deserves to honor his memory and say their final goodbyes.
