Dan Gamache, Former Football Star and Community Leader, Passes Away in Lynnfield, Massachusetts

Lynnfield, Massachusetts – Dan Gamache, a former standout football player and respected figure in his community, passed away on September 26, 2024.

His passing has left family, friends, and admirers mourning the loss of a man known for both his athletic achievements and his dedication to those around him.

Born and raised in Walpole, Massachusetts, Gamache developed a passion for football at a young age.

He became a star player at Walpole High School and continued his success at Stonehill College in Easton, Massachusetts, where he graduated in 1995.

Gamache still holds the college record for sacks, having achieved 34 throughout his career, including 14 in his senior season.

His contribution to the college’s football program earned him a place in Stonehill College’s Athletic Hall of Fame in 2014.

After his football career, Gamache settled in Lynnfield, Massachusetts, where he focused on his family and community.

He is survived by his wife, Laura, and their two daughters, Amber, 10, and Ava, 8.

Gamache was well-regarded for instilling the values of teamwork and perseverance in both his family and the community.

His legacy will continue through the many lives he touched.
