Christine H. (Sojka) Hardman, a beloved member of the Sanborn, NY community, passed away on September 14, 2024, at the age of 76. She died at Our Lady of Peace Health Care Facility in Lewiston, NY, following an unexpected illness.
Born on July 24, 1948, in Niagara Falls, NY, Christine moved to Sanborn at a young age and spent her life surrounded by family and friends. She married Neil Hardman on June 10, 1978, and they shared 28 years together until his passing in 2006. The couple had one child, Erin Kelly, born in 1980, and Christine devoted her later years to helping care for her grandson, Charles "Chucky" Clothier Jr.
Christine retired from Northgate Health Care Facility in 2010 and spent her retirement enjoying time with loved ones, cooking meals, and sharing family stories. Her legacy extends to her close friends, Rosemary Wojick and Sandra Buekema, as well as her daughter Erin and grandson Charles.
A celebration of life will take place on October 5, 2024, at DuBois Funeral Home in Wheatfield, NY. Christine generously donated her remains to the University of Buffalo for scientific research.
