Known for his unwavering work ethic and magnetic personality, Calvin Smith made a lasting impact as a player, coach, and referee.
He was celebrated for his ability to inspire and uplift those around him.
Mike Quigley, a close acquaintance, expressed his sorrow on Facebook, stating, “Calvin was one of the hardest working players, coaches, and referees I’ve had the pleasure of having in my life.”
His sudden passing has left a significant void in the lives of many who admired his active lifestyle and commitment to his community.
A tribute organized by Chevon Griffiths, along with a GoFundMe to support his family, highlighted Calvin’s immeasurable influence and compassion.
He is survived by his wife, Joan, and his children, Mathew, Malcolm, and Vanessa.
