Kingscliff, New South Wales, Australia – Ben Goodall, a 17-year-old resident of Kingscliff, tragically passed away on September 26, 2024, following a severe car accident.
The accident occurred in Bogangar, Tweed Shire, on Clothiers Creek Road at approximately 11 p.m. on Saturday, September 21, 2024.
Emergency services responded to the scene where they found a single vehicle had veered off the road and crashed into trees.
Ben Goodall, who was the only occupant in the car, was treated by paramedics from the Queensland Ambulance Service before being transported in critical condition to Gold Coast University Hospital.
Despite the efforts of medical professionals, Ben succumbed to his injuries five days later.
The Tweed/Byron Police District has launched an investigation into the incident, establishing a crime scene to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
The findings will be forwarded to the coroner for further review.
