Miller Place, New York – Alan Handle, a 76-year-old motorcyclist from Miller Place, tragically passed away following a severe collision involving his motorcycle and an SUV in Coram on Long Island.
The fatal accident occurred on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, around 8:25 p.m. when Alan Handle was traveling east on Route 25 on his 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle.
According to Suffolk County Police, a 2021 Jeep Cherokee, driven by a 26-year-old Coram resident, made a left turn at the intersection of County Road 83, colliding with Handle’s motorcycle.
Handle was immediately transferred to Stony Brook University Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the Jeep was not injured in the crash.
