Alan Handle, 76-Year-Old Miller Place Motorcyclist, Dies in Tragic Collision on Long Island

Miller Place, New York – Alan Handle, a 76-year-old motorcyclist from Miller Place, tragically passed away following a severe collision involving his motorcycle and an SUV in Coram on Long Island.

The fatal accident occurred on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, around 8:25 p.m. when Alan Handle was traveling east on Route 25 on his 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle.

According to Suffolk County Police, a 2021 Jeep Cherokee, driven by a 26-year-old Coram resident, made a left turn at the intersection of County Road 83, colliding with Handle’s motorcycle.

Handle was immediately transferred to Stony Brook University Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The driver of the Jeep was not injured in the crash.

As the community mourns the loss of a beloved figure, friends and loved ones shared heartfelt messages on social media.

Julianne Noto wrote, “Alan Handle, you were a beautiful, gentle man with so much integrity and kindness. You will be missed.”

Robin Bailey commented, “I will forever remember Allen and his kindness and support. Thank you, Allen, for your service to our country.”

Suffolk County Police continue to investigate the details surrounding the accident as the community grapples with this devastating loss.
