29-Year-Old Bryan Bashrum from Lubbock, Texas Tragically Passes Away; Community Mourns Loss

Lubbock, Texas – The community is mourning the sudden and tragic loss of Bryan Bashrum, a 29-year-old student at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, who passed away unexpectedly this week. Bryan, originally from Frisco, Texas, was studying to become a physician and had previously worked as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) for Acadian Ambulance.

Bryan’s death has left his family, friends, and the entire community heartbroken. He was remembered as a standout student and a beloved son, brother, and friend. A graduate of Samford University and Lucas Christian Academy, Bryan was part of the University Fellows Program at Samford and had resided in Arlington, Texas before relocating for his studies.

A fundraiser has been set up to support the family with funeral and burial expenses. The family appreciates all the support during this difficult time, and further details regarding his obituary and funeral arrangements will be shared by them soon.

Hannah Hartman, a longtime friend, shared her thoughts on Facebook, saying, "Bryan was a kind-hearted, wonderful spark of energy I was blessed to have time with. Over a decade of friendship and I can’t believe he’s gone… I will miss you forever, you left a forever stamp on my heart as just the most genuine person."

Tammy Ostrander also offered her condolences, posting, "Very sorry for your loss. Prayers to the family."

The entire community joins in grieving the loss of Bryan Bashrum, a promising young medical student whose life was tragically cut short.
